The Archdiocese of New Orleans' brand new program, “Summit: High School Ministry Nights”, kicks off with our first event next Saturday, October 18th from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at St. Martin de Porres Church (parking located at 2241 Mendez Street New Orleans, LA 70122)! The night will begin with praise & worship in the Church, led by Ryan Foulon, and feature keynote speaker Alanna Thibodeaux. We will also have Eucharistic Adoration, with confessions available, followed by fellowship in Youth & Young Adult Ministry Office gym (across the parking lot from the Church). Food will be available for purchase!
These events will serve as Archdiocesan-wide high school ministry nights, similar to the campus ministry nights that take place at many of our local Catholic high schools. They will take place throughout the year, and will be open to all high school students in grades 8 through 12. The goal is to build upon and dive further into the office’s theme for the year, Illuminate, which is rooted in the Scripture verse Matthew 5:13-16. These nights will focus on bringing together young people from across the Archdiocese in order to unplug from the constant noise and distractions of the world around them, and invite them to spend time connecting with our Lord in the sacraments, and with each other in fellowship.
