Knights of Columbus: Star Council Award

DIVINE MERCY'S KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 14822 RECEIVES TOP AWARD
 
Divine Mercy Parish Knights of Columbus Council 14822 has received the distinction of Star Council, the international organization’s top award for local councils.
 
The Star Council Award recognizes overall excellence in the areas of membership, promotion of fraternal insurance benefits, sponsorship of faith formation programs and service-oriented activities.
 
Fifty-six Faith in Action Programs’ activities have been achieved this past fraternal year including but not limited to:  
Faith Programs: Holy Hour, assigned Adoration Chapel hours, purchasing chalices and pallets for priests, and 1st Saturday, Patriotic Rosary, Nouveau Marc, and Inspired Rosary Programs.
Family Programs: Food for Families money donation, Family Prayer Knight (Living Rosary), Light in the Stable ushering/buying/serving pizza, 8 Donut Sundays buy/serve donuts, milk, and coffee, and Good Friday Family Promotion.
Community Programs: Operating the ticket booth at the Seafood Festival, Disaster Response money donation, decorating trees on church campus with Christmas lights, decorating church for Christmas and Easter celebrations and taking down decorations after holidays and storing them away, Lenten Fish Fries that we depend upon to fund our operations and charitable giving.
Life Programs: Special Olympics money donation, ASAP/Pregnancy Center Support to the Women’s New Life Center and Pregnancy Services formerly known as Access.
