It is with both sadness and incredible gratitude that I say goodbye to Divine Mercy Parish. I have been reassigned to St. Catherine of Siena, effective June 16.
These last two years at Divine Mercy have been such a joy and blessing in my life as a priest. I came here unsure of what to expect and nervous to begin my vocation. It did not take long, however, for me to feel completely at home.
This parish is special — not because it is new, and not because the church building fits 900 people — but because of each and every one of you. It is the parishioners who have made this assignment so memorable. I have laughed with you, cried with you, and you have done the same for me.
From the moment I celebrated my first daily Mass here on Monday, July 1, 2024, I knew I was home. This parish will always hold a special place in my heart. I hope that one day all of you can know the significance of the positive impact you have had on my life. I will always be better because of my time here at Divine Mercy with all of you, and I am forever grateful.
